Then begged them to make a part that could facilitate belt to tripod use. But regrettably vanished with V3, which is also not compatible with plates from V1.

The quality is good but not premium as the price suggests. Peak has received more coverage, but it’s spread over a variety of different product categories including straps and their Capture Clip. I forget the model and they don’t seem to make it anymore. However, bags like their 25L Blackhole Backpack or 8L Ultralight Blackhole Sling are worth consideration. You can use it clamped on the shoulders straps, but the metal back plate then rubs right into your chest as you hike. It's too bad those two tan tabs on the shoulder straps aren't lower down, they would be perfect for a capture clip if they were. I know this bag so well, and it does everything I ask it to do without complaint, why would I want anything else?
